Founded by lifelong friends from Midsomer Norton, our mission is simple: deliver unforgettable flavours, top-notch service and meat so good it’ll make you question all your life choices up to this point.

Nomads BBQ

At Nomads BBQ, we take our meat seriously — probably too seriously. Using traditional American smokehouse techniques and our own custom-built smoker (yes, we built it ourselves!), we serve up slow-smoked perfection using the best local farm produce.

Why?

Because we love great food,
we love BBQ,
and we love Somerset.

We’re proud to be from here — and even prouder to work with the amazing ingredients this county has to offer.

Ever since leaving university, it’s been a dream of mine to start a catering business. When COVID-19 hit, while most people took a step back, I saw an opportunity to finally chase that dream — to become Somerset’s go-to BBQ badass.

​

Coming from a completely different background, I took the leap, developed a commercial kitchen near Radstock, got my qualifications, and started hustling. Smoking low and slow, slinging out BBQ over Instagram — that’s how it all began.

 

Opening Nomads Deli in the heart of Midsomer Norton has been a huge milestone for us. We love being part of the high street we’ve known all our lives.

OUR FOOD

We specialise in low and slow BBQ — fusing classic Texas smokehouse flavour with a Somerset twist.

 

We work with local butchers and producers to source top-quality meats. That’s non-negotiable for us.

Ribs. Pork belly. Pulled pork. Vegan options too. Our menu rotates, but one thing stays the same — everything’s smoked for up to 12 hours and served with sides like mac and cheese, salted fries, tacos, and more.

​

From the locally cut wood in our smoker to the handmade kit we cook with, we try to keep it as real and as rooted in Somerset as possible.

We run a pre-order system from our kitchen in Midsomer Norton.

OPENING HOURS

Monday: Closed

Tuesday: 10am – 5pm
Wednesday: 10am – 5pm
Thursday: 10am – 2pm / 5pm – 9pm (Takeaway)
Friday: 10am – 2pm / 5pm – 9pm (Takeaway)
Saturday: 10am – 2pm / 5pm – 9pm (Takeaway)
Sunday: Closed

THE MOBILE KITCHEN

We also have a mobile kitchen, which means we can bring a proper BBQ to your event.

From pub pop-ups to weddings, corporate events, and festivals, we’ve taken our smoker on the road to share what we love. Being badass at BBQ has always been the goal — now we get to do it all over the South West.
